How to get rid of Sugar ants?

  • I've never had any problems with ants ever, until last summer. They were every where. We killed and killed, but it just felt like more of them were coming back. I've tried with sprays, they worked to get them out of one part. Then winter came and they disappeared, now that its getting warmer outside they are everywhere again. I want a really effective way to kill them, I've read online that some things will kill them but the ants will just move their nest somewhere else. Does anyone know a real effective way to get rid of them, its getting tiring killing them. I've also heard vinegar works, is it true?

    Well you could move away. But you could use another way, the jar contains sugar or anything that sweets. put it in the bowl filled with water

This is what we do go to your local supermarket and buy some Borax. Pour some out and sprinkle sugar around the perimeter of the Borax. You can put it in a plastic container lid or just on a paper towel. The ants will be attracted to the sugar and get into the Borax and take it back to the nest and feed the guys in the next.

Borax might work, I've never tried, but you can get ant bait. It comes in little round plastic discs that the ants go into to get the bait to carry back to their home. I think it's called Terrex. Put it right where they are trailing. Several come in a pack, and you will have to be persistant. But it will work. They have to get the bait to the queen to stop the nest. Spray will get the visible ants, but will not kill the queen. Let them do it to her! Peace!
