How to identify a good online retailer?

How do i identify which retailer sold a product by just a bar code?

• I need to buy some more wooden flooring but all i have on the box is a bar code. I don't know where it came from or who sold it in the first instance. The code is 5410455712291 can anyone help please?

  Interesting question. Unfortunately I do not think you will be able to find the retailer based on the bar code alone. Bar codes can only contain 13 digits of data. The barcode comes from the manufacturer and should not contain retailer information. I will give you a really really good site that has a whole lot of information about barcodes.
