What is considered to be a safe level of carbon monoxide?

What is an acceptable Carbon Monoxide level in a home?

• I have a detector in my bedroom that reads 17. I assume that's 17 ppm. Is that an acceptable level? I checked it a week ago and it was at 17. After resetting it, it still reads 17 so I think there is a consistent amount of carbon monoxide in the room. Any help would be appreciated.

Analysts may work for a government agency or business entity that has adopted more stringent standards than the ones defined in this document. As such, CO Analysts may enforce those higher standards.
