Is RGIS good to work with?

WATS a good lubricant for machinery that work in a dusty environment?

  • hello i work in a warehouse making frying pans, i work as a PM mechanic and and im new here sow i was wondering what is a good lubricant for machinery that work in a very dusty environment, u see we only use WD-40 but its good to clean but not a good lubricant in our environment. to much Teflon dust and aluminum gets stuck to the WD-40 i need a non sticky lube that wont attracts to much dust and will work well in our machinery. we have rivet machine welding machines and lots of other machinery that need a good maintenance all these machines have lots of moving parts dat have never been maintenance good . does someone have a good lube that they could recommend

  • Answer:

Graphite in the air and sparks and heat from welding machine sounds like an accident waiting to happen. There is an aerosol lubricant called dry lube and this dries immediately I believe it is a liquid PTFE . But first things first I think you extraction plant should be be updated to deal with the dust.

You may try Teflon wear strips on moving equipment. Also Teflon inserts for bushings instead of metal.
