How can I get free things?

How can i clean organize and reinvent my old house,unmotivated and overwhelmed,how to store things and get rid?

• of clutter,Hi the house is very old,so it is damp it shows in the walls some are cracked with mold,there are old carpets i need to get rid of,but i do not know what to do with the wood underneath there are a few holes in the wood,its needs painting,the kitchen sink is old and a cabinet in the kitchen has rotted from the dampness,i do not have a lot of money so can i do this on a budget myself to make the place more comfortable? I get overwhelmed and leave things and now i have so much to do,clothes have got ruined from the dampness and my art portfolios all damp and smell of mold,how can i fix this do o have to throw all the clothes out?How can i store things to keep them safe?closets and stuff the wood is rotted so nothing can go in them,i eventually want to sell but i get so unmotivated because so much is wrong i think it will never sell anyway and i find it hard to do anything here,any advice you can give me ?thanks

  The first thing is to find and stop the source of the moisture. The roof is the main culprit. I'd ask my home insurance agent for coverage to replace it. Have him come out and take a look. They have an incentive to fix it because of what can happen to the house if it leaks which they have to cover. It may have already happened. Then new sheetrock walls to get rid of that moldy mess. Then the floors. Then the kitchen.
