Where is the high limit switch on a Trane XE90?

York Furnace with a new High Limit rollout switch works for a while but then trips. Could a higher limit be nd?

  • The furnace will run a cycle or two but then trips the rollout switch. We replaced the gas valve and the control board and all rollout switches. Could the heat exchanger be getting to hot? Feeling Lost Help!

    you have a air flow problem did you change filter ?look at evap coil?and yes check for birds nest in flue pipe? theres a reason you call a tech before you start changing parts it could be a simple fix not an expensive one

If the heat exchanger is getting to hot there is a venting problem. Anytime you have an issue with a gas furnace or water heater, always check the flue vent to make sure it is clear and drafting properly. Read over the manufacturers installation instructions for your specific unit.
