How do i repair full automatic washing machine?

How do you repair a washing machine that will not switch cycles?

  • washing machine will fill with water and run but will not progress through the different cycles, rinse spin etc.

    chris, most likely it is the timer. you can check this by manually advancing the timer by hand. if it then goes thruogh the cycles manually, that is your problem. changing the timer isnt difficult but depending on the age of your washer they can be pricey! 60-200 dollars. good luck!

You need a new timer switch..or wires have come loose on the timer. Check it out. The timer is connect to the "Wash/rinse/cycle" knob. Good luck

thats the timer the most expensive part go to the library and find a repair manual for that washer and then test the leads for resistance on all settings if it fail then price the part online if its too much then buy a washer if its not too much then replace it
