How to move home security system?
-
I have a home security system but the company installed it. Now, I don't know how to get it out of the apartment. There is a box attached to the wall and sensors on the door and windows and also a wall panel. What do they charge generally to get the system out? Also, do you have any idea of what it costs to get it moved from one apartment to the other, adding 2 window sensors and a second door sensor? Like do they charge by the sensor???? Thanks.

Answer:
If it's hard wired in, then you'll have to unscrew everything and leave the wiring in the walls. Most likely, if it was installed after you moved in, it's a wireless system and can easily be moved to your new apartment. I don't know how they charge, since it would depend on the circumstances. Just get a few estimates and make an educated decision.
