How do I make my rubber less sticky?

How do I make rubber soles last longer?

  • I have these men's sneakers that come with rubber soles (the bottom of the shoe) and I don't want them to tear quickly because I've seen it happen to these type of shoes before how do I stop them from tearing if not, then how do I prolong the tearing of the shoe is there a spray out there that protect rubber or makes it easier for u to maintain rubber under harsh conditions

  • Answer:

There is a product called Shoe Goo that repair wore out sport shoes. I have used it on the under sole of worn though running shoes and it really worked. It's Shoe Goo Adhesive that's comes in Black or Clear. Sorry to say you can't prevent wear and tear but Shoe Goo will help you repair the damage and get more life out of your footwear. i don't know how to make it last longer before it wears but when it tears just get some shoe goo and put it on the tear and it will hold it off for a while and just keep doing that whenever necessary.

Spray with silicone. It's a rubber protectant and should prolong the life of the outer soles.

Big Yoda

No dragging the soles and ALWAYS walk on a wet surface.

No man, you just have to enjoy them while they last. Rubber is pretty wimpy stuff.
