What to do with a b&B i had booked?

Garbage Disposal troubles, BB stuck in Disposal what do I do?

  • My family and I shoot squirrels whom try to eat the birdseed from our bird feeders with our BB/pellet gun out of our kitchen sink window. Today, while attempting to hit the vermin I ****** the gun improperly and a BB fell into our sink. I tried to fish it out, but the BB fell into the garbage disposal further. The BB is not in the main area where I can feel the blades, I am extremely worried that it has fallen into the motor of the Disposal. The Garbage Disposal turns on and works, but you can definitely hear the BB inside bouncing around. I don't want to tear up the garbage disposal by turning it on again, nor do I want to buy a new one, nor do I want to call a repairman... What do I do? How do I get the BB out? What are my options of taking it apart? I can add more details about the appliance if needed, please help. Thanks.

If you have a magnetic pick-up tool, you should be able to get it out with that. You might even be able to get it with a magnetized screwdriver. Hope this helps. Good Luck!

put some actual food into the disposal this should flush it out..if not try a flashlight to see the BB and a magnet of sorts or gum on the end of a straw..be McGuyver!!!

If you still have the installation instructions (or can find them online), you can probably take the disposal off the pipes, turn it upside down and shake it until the BB comes out. Don't call a repairman. A new disposal is $60. If you can't figure this out, run it with the BB inside until it dies and then replace it.

Insert some items you normally put through the disposal and turn it on as usual. These items should pick up the BB and send it on.

Shorty

The drain part is completely sealed from the motor, so I'm certain that the BB is in the rotor. Try flushing it with a lot of water, or lots of vegetation like lettuce and stuff you have in the fridge. The BB should get picked up with food and water and get flushed away. Try this to keep squirrels out of your feeders. Put your feeders on metal poles 6-8 ft in the air. Grease up the metal poles with vaseline, then watch the squirrels makes fools of themselves trying to climb the poles. Keep your feeders away from trees and other structure so the squirrels cannot launch themselves over to it.
