Replacement shower/towel rod in molded fiberglass/plastic. Where can I find?

Hard call. Do you need an exact replacement? If you do, then you must know the manufacturer and model number. If you just want a usable replacement, in my days a student, I used a piece of plastic water pipe with a wooden dowel inserted in the center of it. If you do this you might have to seal the ends with epoxy to keep water from swelling the wooden rod and/or sand the end of the pipe a little to get it to fit. The pipe can be spray painted with one of the newer spray paints for plastic. I have also seen bamboo (sealed with several coats of marine spar varnish) used. I assume that a wooden rod, sanded and painted and then sealed would work as well. I know that there are places which sell fiberglass rods (both hollow and solid), but I live in a rural setting and do not know of one.
