What are plant growth enhancers?

What happens if I put too much plant growth stimulant in my plant?

  • I put 10 ml of my plant growth stimulant in 1 plant without reading that its suppose to be diluted into 4 liters of water, will my plant die? It's a basil plant but still not fully grown. Also, the growth stimulant is all natural; it's derived from kelp seaweed extract. Please answer as soon as possible.

I'm not sure what effect it will have but it might not be safe too eat. You may wish to flush the growing medium with fresh water. Run a gallon or two through the pot or a little less if it's in a small container. That will wash it through and and also clear out any accumulated salts that are in the growing medium. It's natures way of healing. Rain Rain Rain or plain water. People often forget that.... Once it's flushed and drained I'd wait a couple days and watch her for any adverse signs. But I'm sure it will be fine. Then read the directions again and mix accordingly. Also replenish the nutrients in the growing medium at this time. As for the all natural, It still needs to be used properly. People can OD on nutrients from eating a single vegetable and those are all natural, or at least used to be... Natural simply means non synthetic not necessarily 100% safe..

flush it, pour lots of water. the kelp/seaweed extract will burn the plant if there is to much. if it starts to die just replace it.

There isn't much you can do about it now so just wait and see how the plant reacts.

Your plant will grow more actively and go through water faster. Check on the plant frequently and make sure it has enough water. Don't water a lot at once and drown the plant. Flushing the dirt will just disturb the roots and its a young plant so it might not make it. Just keep watering it and keep good air and water circulation going. If its warm enough, leave it outside so it gets more light.

Your basil should be just fine if you watch closely for a few days. You might water it and let a little bit run out the bottom of the pot just to be sure. Fertilizer companies tend to err on the safe side with their recommended dosages. Good luck with your basil!
