How do you repot a bamboo plant?
-
I have a small pot with bamboo branches cover with leaves and at the bottom the pot is full of white roots. Do I need to repot and cover the white roots with earth ?
-
Answer:
Yes, it needs moved to a larger pot. Bamboo grows VERY quickly. Try to "free" some of the roots from the root ball (so they lose the shape of the pot they are in now) and then put it in a larger pot and add fresh potting soil. Remember bamboo likes plenty of water. I have mine (in the pot) sitting in a saucer that I keep full of water.Bamboo should be re-potted at least once a year.Hope this helps. Good luck
