Can you grow ivy on a building in Rome? How about moss?
-
I am working on a hypothetical class project, designing a store for American home interior brand West Elm. We would like to grow either ivy or moss on the exterior of the building. I am to understand that ivy can damage a building, but not sure about moss. Does anyone know the answer, or where I could find the answer? Thank you!

Answer:
Ivy could theoretically grow in Rome. I doubt you could grow moss in that hot dry climate. Personally I would not allow ivy to grow on a bilding sice it does damagethe paint and grows in cracks pushuing every thing apart. It is very undesirable.
