Which do compact fluorescent bulbs have the shortest warm-up period?

Will daffodil bulbs with green tips showing that are planted in March bloom that same summer?

  • It's March 1st, and I just bought some unplanted daffodil and tulip bulbs with green shoots starting out of their tops. I know that bulbs usually need a cold period before blooming, but will these sprout and bloom if I plant them now in containers, indoors?

  • Answer:

Yes, very soon as a matter of fact. They have all ready had their cold period. You didn´t say where you live. Might need to be sure there isn´t going to be a blizzard

Wow..I did the same thing. Last fall I dug a bunch of daffodil bulbs up , kept them in a pail on the back porch all winter..and last week planted them and nearly all had a sprout. I didn't even think that they wouldn't bloom.
