What should be the pay scale for a gardener/weed puller be in Blacksburg, Va.?

    Even though I don't know the economy of the area you live in, I worked as a gardener in a very upscale community this summer. My boss charged 46/hour paid us 12. For being a college student, it seemed like great pay for a summer job. I would probably charge around 15-20 if you won't have a lot of expenses i.e. gas, supplies. You could always check out www.salary.com to see what other people might make in your area. Or you could call a competitor to just see what they would charge you.
