Why can we cultivate hybrid seed?

My calla lilly ... now shows seed pods.. what do i do now to cultivate new plants? ?

  You need to cut off the seed pod or the plant will put all its energy into producing seeds and the bulb will suffer. I usually wait until they turn brown and then cut them off and put the whole pot in my basement. Then in the spring, when the evenings are warm, I bring them up and put them in new pots with new potting soil.
