How To Sprout Seeds?

How long does it take for Saguaro Cactus seeds to sprout?

  • I planted my seeds about 4 weeks ago. I just barely covered them with the soil. I have been using a squirt bottle to water them a tiny bit about every day. How long will they take to sprout? I still have no sign of them.

  • Answer:

You can simply put a tray with water underneath the pot where you sowed them and they would sprout anyway, they did for me and very easily. I think 4 weeks is longer than I waited for! I believe after 3 weeks my seeds were already sprouted. I however did not cover the seeds at all, I just put on the surface and pressed them with the finger. But that does not mean yours are bad seeds! I suggest you wait for another 4 weeks and if they are not sprouted, then I would give up on them. They should germinate readily.
