What is the difference between a shelf cloud and a wall cloud?

How to decorate a 'plant' shelf on a 2-story wall?

  • Hello, We have a 2-story wall in our great room which has a fireplace and 2 built-in entertainment centers on the lower area. Above this is a large built in shelf that runs all along the wall with art niches above that. For the art niches we are most likely going to get some bronze metal art items. Does anyone have any ideas for what to put on the shelf? Are silk plants a good idea? If so what kinds are best? Would baskets, vases etc be good for this? I am design begineer so any suggestions (or pictures!!) are very much appreciated! Thanks!

  • Answer:

you dont have to put plant on it but if you where to go with that idea i think fake ivory would be your best bet. but any art figurines might look good with the art niches in the same room. and if you like any of these ideas let me know im thinking about getting a degree for interior design

I have the same thing. It's easy, you have to find some larger accessories though. My ceiling goes to a peak so I put a clock there use silk plants large vases i also have two wrought iron bikes up there with silk plants in them. Trunks are also a great idea you can put a clump of plant in the trunk sticking out of the lid. Big (real big) plates standing up also. The great thing about these ledges is you can use a color to add a punch in the room. I would send you a picture but i cant figure out how to.
