Where can I find Applebee's kitchen work?

Do you think this will work in my kitchen?

  • Which is best for my kitchen? This is a picture of my kitchen, the fridge is now black , the wall color is actually Crimson and not as bright as the photo suggests, and the countertops are grey with black and white flecks: http://s205.photobucket.com/albums/bb150/roxiecat4200/?action=view&current=mainwallafter.jpg These are three possible backsplashes for the wall behind the sink: http://www.mbossinc.com/cgi-win/ItemCart.exe?%7CCategory=BACKSPLASHES%7CID=130%7CCallingPg= http://www.starstainlessdesign.com/html/gallery.htm Either the 1st or 5th picture on the last link (it wouldn't let me give seperate links) We have tried to find tile that matches our counter and wall color, but have yet to find anything. We have considered plain black, but I think it would be too much, even though our kitchen is pretty light. We plan on selling in the nest 2-3 years, so I wanted to get others opinions about the backsplash and not just do what I thought looked right.

  • Answer:

The first choice on the second link. You have a kitchen with simple lines to it so you will want to avoid something too "busy" like the firs link. The second choice of the second link is a bit to plain. It will not add to the kitchen but make it appear boring with it's straight lines. The first choice and the third choice are for lighter colored kitchens. Yours is darker so you should you want something that doesn't lighten it too much. The second choice is more of a muted shine. Out of curiosity, have you checked with lowes or home depot to see if they can order a tile in the color that you would like? Your countertop coloring would make an excelent backsplash transition.

I like the first picture on the last link the best. I think that it will complement what you already have in your kitchen. I also like the look of the stainless steel tiles, but granite may get you more for your money. Try to find leftover stuff at the supply stores, i.e. the pieces that have been cut off of other people's orders, smaller pieces that aren't in quite as high demand. Many times you can find great deals that way.

I love the second one! Very nice!

Ok well a kitchen remodel usually repays at 80% of investment so maybe you can go head and do what you want it will probably get the same resell value either way The walls are rather dark and if you want a serious mood then they are perfect, there are endless choices with tile matching the floor tile should be relatively easy call a tile guy or a kitchen remodeler they know where to go I would suggest matching appliances first your gonna be lookin at them for a while.

Beautiful!! I like all of them, but I'd probably pick the 5th picture if it were my kitchen. I would not do black - plain black tile would show lots of spots, etc., and look harsh. This looks modern and expensive. But if you're selling soon, maybe you don't want to spend so much money on it. When choosing things for resale, people usually go "neutral" or boring - I like your choices a lot!!

The option from mbossinc would look great. I have used their product and was very pleased! I just sold a home with a stainless backsplash. Every person that looked at the home, commented on the look, and said how it made the kitchen. It is easy to clean if it is coated properly. Stay with a design that is simple. The more detail the design, it takes away from the look you are going after. Just a suggestion......under counter lighting (available at Lowe's or Home Depot) really add to the stainless.

By far, I prefer this one: http://www.starstainlessdesign.com/html/gallery.htm The reason is simple: it has 2 dimensions of color: shiny and flat. The first choice appears to be textured, which won't be easy to keep clean. If I may make a suggestion: When you've installed the backsplash, go the whole hog and get some funky hardware and install some silver knobs on your cabinets and drawers. This will go a long way to bringing your kitchen to the place you want it to be... and it will be a recall on the silver backsplash. Nice kitchen, by the way!

i think the silver backsplashes will appeal to buyers. my personal taste would be to pick the goldish backsplash BUT if i were planning to sell in a few years i would pick silver
