How do i decorate an empty shop?

• I work for an installation company and because its a technical environment and my b oss is male the shop in the front where I am most of the time is really empty. It a big shop and there is very little in it. One half empty display rack, a whole pile of empty decoder boxes a tee tray with a christmass tree (a very small one) and our massive counter, (not wide but long) with a TV on the wall and a decoder wall mounted. Its so stark that when I speak to clients it feels like I'm talking to myself it echo's so bad. Any advice how I can dress up the shop in a way that's affordable and still look good but also brings accross that we are a technical shop? I should say our walls are painted green purple orange. The shop is divided in those three colors. So any advice please?

  Not really understanding what a decoder box is, based on what you describe I would say keep things sort of industrial/modern looking--using metal, glass, modern accessories. Sounds like some seating is needed in case the customer needed/wanted to sit while waiting or if not just to soften the lobby up. A couple chairs and small table in between or a modern styled bench seat. Then think lighting. Is there any sort of ambient lighting? A lamp on the table in between the chairs or even on one end of the counter. Some sort of art (again, modern/techie looking) would be nice, you could find something cheap and frame in a cheap black frame. You could find some accessories and things in those three colors or either go with mostly black and silver/metal stuff to tone down the bright colors a bit. Hope that helps.
