Walmart is the best ever! You can decorate your entire apt for less than 100 USD if you really work at hit. OK - bear with me. First, pictures on the walls. Walmart sometimes sells prints and frames for under 3 dollars. They come in two sizes and any variety of pictures. I recently picked up a series of Ansel Admas black and whites for my living room. They are just printed posters on a piece of card board with plastic wrap around them. If you don't remove the plastic wrap you don't have to buy glass frames. Just plain wood frames. THey look really nice too. If you have a good printer, find some pics you dig online, print them off, and frame them. Hang them anyway that pleases you. Remember, black and white is hot too. Plants are really nice. Walmart garden center offers plants that are good indoors and don't take much to take care of. Palms do really well indoors as long as it is near a window. They stand about 3 feet high or so. Flowering potted plants are great too. They add color without effort. Palms cost about $15 and flowers anywhere from 2-8 Walmart also has a great selection of art deco and modern candle holders, candelabras, and wall sconces for candles. They are less than 15 dollars in most case with the candles (coming in any variety of colors) costing approx 1-20 USD. If you want more of personal touch to your art, grab a multipicture frame. It should have a place for four or five photos. Go to the greeting card section and pick out card you really like. Preferably ones without whole bunchs of words, unless you like what the card says. Tape the cards to the photo mat however you would like and voila instant and simple art. If you can't paint because it is an apartment you can give the illusion of paint. Pick one wall to be a focus wall. Buy a few yards of cheap twill fabric. Using penny tack nails (also available at Walmart for less then a buck) you can nail it near the ceiling line and floor line. YOu can either get white and paint this with any pattern or design you like or get a solid or even a print if you can find one you like. This adds color and texture to your place. I recommend using the wall behind where your couch sits for this. This way you aren't staring at it while you are trying to watch TV. As far as your kitchen goes. It is amazing what hanging your utensils on the wall does for the kitchen. Buy a few hooks or nails and hang your utensils on the wall. It is cheap and gives the kitchen a very chef feel. Investing in new hardware will virtually transform your kitchen. Make you sure you buy the same type and size. If you have bar handles then knobs won't work. If you aren't allowed to change your apartment make sure you keep the old handles and put them back when you move out. Floor coverings are a good way to really change the feel of the space. They don't have to be fancy persian rugs to help out. Target has a better selection of rugs but they can be kind of pricey. Mirrors on the wall will make the apartment feel bigger and take up negative space on the walls. Ok - I think I've yapped enough. I hope this gave you some good ideas. Sorry there isn't much visual aid here. go to www.walmart.com

Well an expensive way to brighten a room is always paint! For your living room I would paint it a warm gold or tan. You could go to a store like marshalls or steinmart where they have deduced prices for home decor. Add a funky lamp or a cool rug to your living room (or maybe some wall art?) For the kitchen I would go with a pretty blue or green. You could put up some pretty curtains. As for the bathroom, maybe a orange or yellow. Tons of stores have really pretty bathroom accessories that aren't too pricy. Also, a cute shower curtain always stands out!

OK, you need to keep your wall in a light color to make the room look bigger, you can add mirror on you living room, that makes the room look with more space, place some plants but don't use those big decorating plants use the medium size ones in light color planters. You have a hunter green sofa and cherry wood furniture, also a black entertainment center so I recommend you to use some details inspired in the oriental theme, you can use some pretty planters with some oriental details, use the floor stand lamps and you are saving space for your planters on the tables, little details make prettier spaces. Kitchen and bathroom same thing keep them in light colors, use plants for decorating the top of your cabinets, try to use those new thing that goes under the cabinet so that way you save a lot of space. Choose a theme and add some little details on your kitchen, I recommend you if you decide to keep your living room with some oriental, you can use like bamboo containers or those round bowls made of wood of bamboo and your kitchen can be a little inspired in your living room theme. On bathroom I think use the shabby chic decoration will be perfect, most of the thing are in light color and make the room feels light clean and fresh. Good Luck I hope this help.
