Where can you buy an oven/stove besides Lowes or Home Depot?

  • We're thinking of buying en electric stove to replace the one we have. Where can we buy one besides going to Lowes or Dome Depot? I know about Best buy, but where else? We live in a small town and closest city is an hour away.

    There are many options with local appliance stores, Sears or similar department stores. It's been a while since I've been in Rocky Mount and I know it is small but I would think there would be independent appliance stores available there. It's a great sized small town. I would check with locals for options first.

If there's a Sears in your area, go there. Sears would always have kitchen appliances in stock, including electric stoves. You can check online, too, and see if they have other kitchen appliances you may need.

Sears or Best Buy etc. suggestion: Sears usually has sales around the holidays. find what you want on sale and then go to Home Depot or Lowe's and they should beat the price by 10%. [Home depot can order any GE model] If the appliance person at Home Depot says he can't do that tell him that you thought he was empowered to do it. He is actually up to $50 but anymore than that and he may need a managers approval unless you are dealing with the department head.

Check online. Often times you can order it and have it shipped directly at less cost than buying one from a big retailer.

Sears Smaller towns sometimes have independent appliance dealers where they sell air conditioners, washers & dryers, stoves, etc.
