Vintage 40s bedroom ideas?

• I'm 15 and I really want a vintage themed bedroom. I thought about getting a rotary phone and putting up some vintage posters. Ideas for colors/bedspread/other items? Thanks :)

  If you can come up with a chenille bedspread, they're nice and look very vintage. If you need to put up a mirror or add a mirror to a dresser, round mirrors were very much in vogue. For color inspirations, maybe try to find some photos online from old catalogs, such as Sears. (Tough to get color inspirations from movies, as so many were black and white...) One popular design theme I remember - from a relative's autograph book - was the silhouette of the Scottie dog. For knickknacks, you might try to find some plaster 'carnival prizes' - they came in the shapes of dogs, children, etc., and should not be expensive. Good luck!
