How it is living in a flat with room share?

If your kitchen & living room share a wall, how would you seperate the rooms?

  • Would you paint it one color? What would you do? Our living room and kitchen share a common wall and we're looking for ideas on what to do with it...thanks!

    Yuppp, use two colors to seperate both rooms! Also, you can always use a third as a border! Another cool idea, buy a fancy molding from Home Depot and seperate the room by adding the molding on the ceiling and also the wall!~good luck

Mr Yahoo, hit the nail right on the head with his answer of use a nice trim to actually seperate the rooms. We did this it gives the room a definate seperation from room to room effect. it also make a very smooth trasition from one paint color to the other. I would use a nice Thick trim, it will give you more of a seperation effect.

My house does the same thing. You can see the difference in the rooms though because the living room has carpet and the kitchen has tile so you can see when it seperates. Painting it a different color might be nice too, Maybe if you went to Home Depot or Lowes they might be able to give you a few tips. Hope you find something. Good Luck!

Maybe you could open up a section of the wall and make it like a little bar type thing with a counter top and some chairs.
