How can I make my room look amazing when I clean it?

How can I make a room with a mattress on the floor look good?

• I don't want to have a box-spring under my mattress! I hate box-springs and bed-frames since highschool. When I'm having sex, bed frames make so much noise bumping into the wall. I usually put a towel on it doesn't make as much noise when I run into someone with a bed-frame on his bed. I also hate box-springs; they move when having sex, and I'm affraid I'll break them. I like a big mattress on the floor. There's no noise as it would be if there was a bed frame, and I don't have to be careful about not breaking the box-spring. I'm 26. As comfortable as it is to me to have a mattress on the floor. It kinda makes me look like a college boy who can't afford furniture. How can I make a room with a mattress on the floor look good?

  The platform bed is not a bad idea because it is pretty much a plywood box. But another idea is to get an additional top matress. You stack the two so it gives the illusion of a box spring or short frame with out the squeeking or the fear of cracking the box spring. Make sure the bottom matress is really firm so that it doesn't make the bed too soft. You can also in addition to that put a short bed skirt on the bottom matress to disguise it and definatly have nice linens and big masculine pillows and if you make sure the rest of the room decorated maturly the bed on the floor won't matter! With any luck, if someone is still put off by the sight of your bed... your X-rated skills in the bed will make up for the PG-13 look of the outside of the bed! Good luck and hope this helped!
