How Should I Decorate My Room? (Music Theme?

What kind of theme should i use to decorate my room. i've never decorated?

  • i've never decorated my room before. i came from a big family, so i couldn't afford to waste cash on decorating, but i'm about to get my first apartment. how should i decorate it? since it is on campus i can't paint the walls or anything, so the walls will be white :( but everything else is free game. my clothing style is...well i like forever21 clothes a lot, and alloy and sometimes delias. i don't have a favorite color, although cool colors look nice on me. (i look horrible in pink) red it too loud for me. oddly orange or yellow isn't...purple is a NO. i want my room to be so cute (i'm still teen) i will be shopping at ikea. i don't need a BUNCH of stuff, i have a bed...i'm not that social so i won't have friends coming over so not that much seating. i really just need a theme to run with. i have no hobbies, i'm pretty much a blank canvas wanting to have a fabulous room my budget...i'd like to spend about $500 OR LESS, but i'm willing to stretch that to $1g :(

go with contemporary.clean lines more modern.that is ikea furniture they are contemporary.go with browns and blues.blue curtains and brown pillows on your sofa or the other way around go with those colors.

Go to www.pbteen.com. They have lots of cute things to put in your room. it will give you really good ideas for your room!

I'd start by going to a book store that has a good magazine section and flip through the magazine like Good Houskeeping, Home, Decor, etc. and see what they're showing. See if anything leaps out at you and says "Do me."
