How to make a room soundproof?
-
I live in a small house that is conected to another house and my room is on the second floor, it has wooden floor panels and ehh....normal walls..., how can I make it sound proof? Could I use sound proof pads for the walls but then what about the floor? How much would it cost? Where can I get it?

Answer:
Sound proofing board is available at most home improvement stores in 4X8 foot sheets for 4-10 dollars (US) per sheet. It's light weight, easily cuts to size and fit with a utility knife and installs by screwing it to any wall or floor you want to deaden sound transfer. You most likely should be able to cut it to size and lay it flat onto a floor without screwing it down I installed it in my recording studio 3 sheets thick and it works perfectly.
