Where can I find inexpensive pictures to decorate my apartment?

Advertise on freecycle http://www.freecycle.org everything on this web site is free, you can find some very interesting things on there including furniture, a friend of mine just got a queen size water bed, and in return you may want to donate items. Another idea, find the pictures that you would like to frame, go to Home Depot and look at the trim in the lumber department, there are some beautiful trim pieces, you can actually cut them to size, or have an associate do it right in the store, even with the corner angles or miter saw, custom built frames, paint or stain them, add glass or Plexiglas's as it becomes affordable

If you have a Big Lots where you are try that one my daughter always finds something there. Try making your own, buy poster frames decorate the back ground with color and use pictures of yourself with friends and family or others memories to slap in there in different designs. Maybe some of your own art work or nieces and nephews.

Creative genie here! I love reading magazines, and lucky enough to have a local antique store where I can find all types of picture frames. I paint them all the same color (to match the room I'm decorating) (You could just order mats from a local frame shop.) Carefully remove any pictures that you like, mat them all in one color, hang them in a straight row across the back of your sofa, or hang them evenly around the sides & top of a large mirror. Use family photos. Put them in matching frames and create your own wall of family history! ross if you have that store. do it your self. park in swap or garage sale.and family they can always be convinced that it has been on their wall to long all cheap options i guess.

The cheapest will be the ones you make yourself if you're artsy that is. or some cool pics that you already have you can blow 'em up, print it B/W or sepia to create some drama... line 'em up on the wall and whala! you got artsy wall. as for the shelves play with color if you're into it. fill it up like the way they do in home magazines you can't go wrong. goodluck
