How can I make myself more sophisticated?

How can i make my room look sophisticated?

• I want to have a alice and wonderland theme but I'm not sure how to make it look sophisticated I'm 16 and I'm not sure how to do that

  It could depend on what colors you like and who your favorite character is, but I think the easiest way would be to stick to a black and white base- maybe a w/b damask or toile  comforter. A blue quilt or throw and pillowcases can represent Alice's dress. You can find a diamond-shaped stencil and use it to paint a pattern on the top or bottom half of the walls or just one wall.   A favorite quote from the book can also be stenciled on the wall.  For the decorating, instead of having tons of actual Alice and wonderland knick knacks (sp?), just make subtle references to characters or the storyline- a pretty white wooden rabbit on your dresser can be used to hold your necklaces and bracelets. A cool vintage hat can be used to hold earrings (use regular pins for hook earrings, for studs you can pin an actual playing card on the hat and stick your studs in it.  That was a random idea, I had just now, not sure how functional it is!  A teapot with some flowers would be pretty on your nightstand. Hang an old pocket watch up close to your bed or anywhere you're likely to want to check the time. Or it could just be decoration! You could get a fake boxwood topiary and arrange white or red roses in it.   Anyway, I think it's important to pull elements from the story without resorting to using all the tacky run of  the mill Alice in wonderland decorations.  Have fun with it!
