i am not sure about flameless candles, but as I work at a resort, you can call and ask the front desk to go in and light the candles for you just before you arrive...

My mom has been using candles in hotels for years. It's not against any rules or regulations of the hotels. Just make sure that the candle is completely out before you leave. She travels on a regular basis.

Please dont use candles. The lives of many people could be at risk - not to mention that the smoke detectors could result in you being tossed out At a lighting store, or maybe hardware store, you can buy converters that you put into a standard light fixture, so that you can screw in a 4 or 7 watt light bulb, thus lowering the light in the room to candle level Have fun, but please be safe.

Walmart sells flame less candles. They also sell the votive style that you can drop into a votive glass and it gives the appearance of a real flame. Looks real when not looking into it. Dollar store carry's them, Walgreen's along with any drug store, like CVS, Eckerds, any craft store. :-)

I recommend these ... near bomb proof and exceptional value for money. (Second Link gives reviews) Searching for a High Street Store ... not found as yet tho ... It seems that John Lewis sell Philips lighting, no doubt they could order them in for you.
