What are some really "bad" things to do as a teenager (13?

How do I make my room look more like a teenager's room?

  • I'm 13 and my bedroom is boring...using the basic things I have at home, how can I make it look like it fits for a teenager? Also, My house is rented so I can't write on walls or anything like that.

    A few posters (not too many), say, your favourite bands, favourite film, and something that fits your personality :] Organise it the way you want Can you redecorate? Our house is rented but we're allowed to decorate however we want - when I lived with my parents I spent a week redecorating my bedroom on my own - they still haven't painted over the bright pink and yellow walls :] Don't be afraid to let it get a bit messy - the essential items in a teenager's bedroom are a few unwashed socks on the floor :p

Im 13 too and my house is a rental too so i know how hard it is to make your room fit you. I put pictures of friends and family. Also you can put posters up and if you cant tack anything up you can use some tape. Put mirrors or a cork board and paint it to match the colors you want in your room.

well i like the zebra print and hot pink look. you can get alot of ideas from home and garden magz or the hgtv channel on cable.

Buy posters for things you like; your favorite band, actress, actor, movie, etc... buy a cute rug and add some of your favorite flowers in a vase. get a nice bedspread that suits your personality well and matching curtains. CD's, DVD's, Books, that are laying around make it look more of your age. My friends have "fan signs" posted on their walls, (signs that people make for them saying things like "your the bomb" and "i love you") be creative! I starred this, 'cause i've been wondering the same thing.
