Where do I go to get what I need to paint ceramics and have someone use the kiln to fire the ceramic for me?
-
I'm new to the whole process but I've wanted to paint a large more realistic looking dragon piece for a while and haven't the slightest idea where to start. Does anyone have any ideas about where I should go to get the materials I need to do this and what materials I need?

Answer:
Start by looking up ceramics or crafts in your area to find someone who has materials. If there is a Michael's crafts near you they can probably help get you in touch with someone. They usually have catalogs so tell them what you want. Most likely you will pay them for materials to pour into a mold and then prepare it for painting and firing. An item may need to be painted, fired and then the process repeated, and you pay for that time but its usually minimal.
