Where can you get free fabric samples?

I am in need of drapery & upholstery fabric samples, does anyone know where in toronto I could purchase them?

• I am an Interior Decorating Student who really needs fabric swatchs/samples to use on presentation boards and I am finding it very difficult to locate a store that offers this? does anyone know of a place that offers smaller portions of fabric for sale?

  Can't guarantee this will work in Toronto. I worked in 2 furniture stores in Virginia. Each store was visited occasionally by furniture reps who would purge old fabrics from the sample rack, including leather. The stores never knew what to do with the bags of obsolete samples. Sometimes crafting people wanted them. I often took them for friends to make pillows and purses out of. Visit the manager of a few better furniture stores in Toronto and ask to be called when samples are pulled and tell them you will pick them up. We usually had at least one fabric and one leather purge each month. After market, all the reps showed to pull old samples. Hope this helps.
