I love to decorate and your room has a unique shape giving it lots of style. I would go in a different direction. You have an interesting black clothes rack and a beautiful mirror with a lot of carvings. I love the painting on the wall next to the window. It appears to be black or a dark brown. So I would paint your bed, the mirror, desk and the bookshelves in black. Yes I said black. A satin black paint does not have to much shine and then sand the edges. You will have to sand the furniture first to take of any finish that maybe on the wood. This will give it the distressed look. It will look fabulous with the color of your walls. Move the shelves on the wall next to your mirror and your desk under the mirror. If you can get more of the cube looking shelves to put on both sides of the mirror, this will give the wall balance. By putting the furniture on the end it will change the feel of your room. Your room is narrow and it this will give the allusion of being wider. I know this sounds like a lot of work, but your room will look like a home make over when you are finished. I would love to see the finish project.
