It's 360 square feet, but you need to know how wide the carpet roll is. Most are 12 ft, some are 15 ft. You also need to allow about 15-20 per cent extra for seaming and cutting. If your room is just a bit larger than 12 ft you need to account for that.

In the UK most carpets are 13'1 or 4 metres wide. You would need to look for 4m x 9.20m which is 36.8 square metres but don't forget to allow a little extra for tolerance and walls possibly running out.

if it is a a 12 ft wide room, you need to buy a 12 x 30 as carpet comes 12ft wide (or 15 on some sizes). which is 40 yards or 360sq ft........it becomes alot more tricky when the rooms are not standard size
