How much does a decent grave stone marker cost?

  • I am looking for any information about purchasing a Grave stone! a round about price? I am interested in the flat stone grave marker? i am wanting to put my fathers and mothers name on the stone. but it is for one grave site...at first i was wanting the regular head stone that stands up? but i am concerned about vandalism.. which does happen alot..what is your thought on that?

    i dont think vandalism is as bad as you think..i know the stone for my mother has been there since 1974 and there isnt any..its in an out of the way graveyard that doesnt really have a keeper..i know my husbands mothers grave has been there since 81 and it has a keeper and i have never noticed any of the stones being damaged from people...i think the ones that stand up are nice..you can get one they start at around 600 bucks in nc...probably depends on your area though to be honest with you..the ones in the ground i have no idea..but i would worry about damage to those with mowers etc.

I suggest you buy 2 flat head stone.put your moms name on one and your dads on the other and put them at the head of each one.I paid 200.00each for the ones I purchased.This depends on where you live.I would call several places and get prices and tell them that you are looking for the best price. Good luck.No one has ever bothered mine.
