How to remove a candle from a jar?

  • I have these lovely jars that i would love to use as lolly jars but they have candles in them. I have never burned the candles and i dont wish to keep them, i just want the jar. How can i remove the candle without braking the jar?

  • Answer:

    Put them in hot water and melt the wax. You might need to immerse them in a pan of hot water, but it doesn't need to be boiling. Just keep an eye on it and dump the candle out as soon as the wax around the edges melts. You can then wipe out most of the wax with a rag and then use some hand dish-soap, a brush and more hot water to scrub away the rest of the wax.

Microwave for 5 minutes pour off candle wax. Keep doing this till all is melted.
