How can I make my room look cool without moving any big changes and under 20 dollars?

How can I make my room look cooler without spending too much money and without making any big changes ( Painting or anything like that)? I have a smaller room and can't do too much but want it to look cooler, and neater. I have a full bed so that takes up like 1/2 my room, a desk, a bereu and a butterfly chair, is there anything else i can add that will help it? My closet isn't big either by the way.

Answer:
Invest in some shelving and hooks - that way you can organize your stuff and keep things you enjoy collecting on display. So, if you have a lot of, I don't know - hats, they can become not just "stuff" but part of your decor.

Buy mirrors? It'll make your room look bigger and they're cool :) don't buy huge expensive ones though, you can get cheap ones with sticky backs in all sorts of shapes, I have huge butterfly ones I got really cheap from home bargains all over my room :) try mungaimirrors.com they have cool ones but they cost quite a bit :S if you live near an Argos store they have some all the time :) if you don't want mirrors, get canvases or general pictures to put up? Hanging stuff from the roof might look cool too :) like a string holding paper birds going from one side of the room to the other... Hope it works :) I'm currently doing this with my room cause I can't afford to re decorate properly, I'm also being Eco friendly and using old stuff to create artwork on my walls, looks surprisingly cool :) x

You can decorate your walls with wall decals they have quoates and stuff on them, You can get them for $1 each at dollar trees. they really transform a room. And they come right off without damaging the walls. I used them they really transform it. You could also buy a shaggy bright colored rug and place it right infront of the bed.

There is so much you can do to a room without making huge changes to spruce it up. One thing that will instantly refresh any bedroom is a new duvet cover / bedspread. I don't know what kind of bedding you have but if you have either a duvet or comforter that you can use then this will work for you. You can easily make a cover for your comforter / duvet. Buy some fabric from a local shop and sew three of the two sides closed. Then you can use buttons or if you are really good with sewing use a zipper to keep the fourth side closed, this way you can remove the cover to wash it. Another decor tip is to use pillows. If you have decorative pillows already you can changes there appearance buy making covers for them the same way you would the comforter. Also adding artwork to your walls will make a huge statement. You don't have to go an buy artwork, you can make it yourself. At the end of my blurb I'm going to suggest a few of my favorite DIY home decor books that are super easy to follow and have some really cool ideas for dirt cheap!! And the absolute most simplest way to refresh a room is to re arrange furniture. I know it sounds simple but I do it when ever my room is begining to feel a little dull and moving furniture instantly makes you feel like you are in a whole new place. Here are some books that may help, get them from your local library, its free!!!! The Big-*** Book of Home Decor by Mark Montano Dollar Store Decor by Mark Montano (he is a genius when decorating on a budget!) Simple Times by Amy Sedaris I hope I helped a bit, Happy Decorating!!

Wal Mart has cool stuff that isn't all that expensive. Maybe some cool storage stuff to organize or something. ^_^ Lighter paint - reflects light, makes room appear larger Darker paint - attracts light, makes room look smaller

Definitely paint...but paint with a color that you'll love so that it livens up the room. I wanted something different in our small master bedroom so I did i pale green (a color I wouldn't normally have chosen) and it looks fantastic! Don't go too dark because it will make your room look smaller. Also...you could get some cheap vintage frames from a thrift store and print out some of your own photos to frame to add some art for cheap in your room. Good luck!
