Where can I find a hanging ceiling chair that is affordable, and is not a hammock?

Plasterboard itself is definitely not strong enough to support a hammock chair. However, the plasterboard is likely attached to rafters or joists depending where your room is located. Most would be strong enough to support an additional 100 lbs or so -- especially if you make the attachment fairly close to a wall. You must, however, install the screw hook directly into the center of a joist or rafter truss. To find the location of the joist, you'll need to borrow or buy a good "stud finder" and learn how to use it. Stud finders can be bought from any good tool department (Home Depot, Lowes, Ace) for around $$30.00. It is a very useful tool to own if you ever hang pictures, towel bars, grab bars, etc.
