How do I remove glue from a coat?

How do i remove an iron on patch and the glue from my coat?

  • Answer:

Turn the clothing so the patch is on the outside and lay a pressing cloth over the patch. Use a hot iron and iron over the patch. Check and see if the patch is lose if not increase the temperature of the iron. Keep the iron moving as you do not want to scorch the fabric. Goof off or Goo gone will remove the glue and several other products but test in an inconspicuous spot before using.

You don't, that glue is set. The best you can do is peel off the old one and replace it with another one. Now, consider fabric glues which will allow you to make anything into a patch; or use an applique. There are lots of options.
