How do you know if the mold in your house is dangerous?

• I recently discovered mold in my basement. I cleaned with bleach & vinegar. I have a 1 yr old in my house and need to know if this is dangerous for her.

  There a lot of different types of mold, and usually dilluted bleach will take care of it if it is not too bad. Mold can cause allergic reactions and it does release spores into the air which can cause illness. Make sure you try to reduce the spreading of the spores when you clean it by placing the used cleaning supplies (sponges, paper towels etc) in a plastic garbage bag and seal it tight when you are removing it, and you should be okay. There are alot of resources online that may help you identify the type of mold you have and if you need to take further action. If you don't feel like you were able to clean it properly I would see if someone in that line of work could come take a look at it.
