How to clean vinegar out of leather jacket?

Can I wipe off my leather jacket with a solution of white vinegar water to get the gray dusty mold from the ja?

    If there is a tag on it that will have cleaning suggestions. I don't think vinegar is going to kill bacteria. If possible use saddle soap. Then put on a leather moisturizer like mink oil. But first do what the tag says. Anything I would say would not be able to take the tanning method or the type or color of the dye in to account. Be careful of caustic things like bleach, and acidic things and strong cleaners like 409 is out of the question. What ever you do test it on a piece inside the jacket first and if it messes up no problem and the outside will have not been harmed.

Mold needs to be killed and prevented from returning. As this is on leather you have to be careful what you use as many things can damage the finish on the leather. Using oils and saddle soap will not kill the mold and may actually make it worse. Vinegar is likely to damage the leather. If you can get some Em Clean this is formulated to kill mold and has been tested as safe to use on leather. It is used all over the world in the garment industry for this problem. Yes you can. Then, when dry, lay the jacket flat sprinkle bicarb soda over it, covering as much as possible. Leave for a day or so then turn the jacket inside out and repeat. Your jacket should be free of mold and odour..
