How do you get paint out of carpet?

How do I get rid of a rubbed in paint stain in my carpet?

• A small tube of what I think is cheap grey acrylic paint cracked and spilled onto my carpet and in a rush I dumped soap and water onto it but I think I might have rubbed in the paint... how do I remove it?

• Answer:

  Try turpentine, sometime you can let it soak with baking soda. Turpentine will work best though, then wash rug normally
