How to remove fuzzy white mold from my Phalaenopsis?

How to remove mold from wood?

  • I have a beautiful, vintage brush that my grandmother gave to me. It is very old and is made of wood. Well, I had accidentally left the brush in a small puddle of water last time I used it. Now, it has that blackish mold on it. It looks like the same kind of mold that grows in bathrooms. I'm so upset at myself for doing this and I'm absolutely devastated because I have no clue how to remove the mold from this brush. If you can give me any advice on how to fix this problem, I'm all ears....or eyes, in this case.. Thank you!!!

  • Answer:

bleach and water in a spray bottle, 4 water to 1 bleach. Leave on for two or three minutes at first and then rinse with water. It may take several apps and also may discolor the original finish. But I would do it and then if have to do the whole handle and restain after dry. Good luck...................JJJ
