How can you shrink a pre-shrunk shirt?

How can I shrink a 100% cotton Preshrunk shirt?

  • It seriously needs to be shrunk more. I bought a shirt adult small without even trying it on.. BIG MISTAKE. Its too big. I probably need a youth large size. I have no way of returning it because its from a store too far away. Keep it mind, it has an image screened on almost the entire front! Its a band t-shirt from Hot Topic. How can I safely shrink it without damaging the image?

    That's the point about pre-shrunk. You can't shrink it anymore. If you put it in the dryer on high, it will ruin the image, probably. Scratch it up to experience and give it to someone who can wear it.

make sure your drier is really hot and then go for it.

Preshrunk still shrinks more. So Yes is your answer.

Preshrunk means you can wash it it will shrink. If the image is made out of the same material as the shirt it will not be damaged. If it's made out of that material that feels like like your touching a [dried] painting then it MAY become damaged but not alot. Wash it with cold water and dry it on high and your shirt will shrink. =)

You could try hot water and hot dryer. But it may damage the pic or take it too a place to have it altered. the latter would be my choice.
