I've heard cola can remove rust fromm things like a cast iron campfire pie iron. How does this work?

That was on an episode of mythbusters and was busted I believe. It was shown to not be an effective way to clean anything or remove anything.

Coke works, i dunno if it is best, but it works.

Look up mythbusters on Discovery channel, they busted the mythg on it. Not entirely true as far as the cola. Aluminum foil has worked for me, but need lots of elbow grease.

just use salt, like when you salt a new cast iron skillet. it works as an abrasive and will do the job with a small amount of water added into it and a paper towel. If their stuffed baked on to it, the soak it in hot water for like ten minutes before doing the above
