It's probably due to your shitty job. Rich people have impeccable hands, you should try it sometime. I wish I could help you more, but my butler Jeeves is asking me if I want the limeade margarita or a scotch over rocks. What should I choose?

try wearing gloves or using hand lotion

the soap and scene your scrubbing a lot that will do it to so try to moisturize your hands often.

no what you are doing is washing dishes alot. which is making your hand always wet

Prolonged exposure to water, detergent, or both can definitely cause skin problems. You need to be wearing gloves. Those small cuts on your fingers might seem minor, but any cut can become an entry point for bacteria, which can lead to infection. Also, having your hands constantly wet can leave your nails vulnerable to both bacterial and fungal infections, which are VERY difficult and expensive to treat and cure.

I too am a dishwasher at a restaurant. I dealt with the same problem you have for first couple years I did it. It's caused by the water softening the skin and then when you scrub a pan or plate, your skin will begin to cut and peel off. As scary as that sounds, it's really not that big of a deal. A good hand lotion will set your hands straight. Also, the longer you do it, the more your hands will build up an immunity to it. My hands don't even prune anymore, even after long days. The lotion I use to heal my hands is Bath and Body Works Gardeners Hand Helper. I know the name says gardeners hand, but it would seem gardeners have similar problems. Here's some more information on it. http://www.viewpoints.com/Bath-Body-Works-Gardeners-Hand-Helper--29005-reviews

Well it may be the soap, but i think it might be that your hands are exposed to water for too long or that you constantly get your hands wet, and then you dry them. Try using rubber glove (washing gloves or whatever there called) and put on lotion Try not to get your hands wet (as much as possible) (i used to have this problem but it will eventually go away by its self, but these tips help it go away faster ) Hope that helps!! :P

Yes the soap would be a major contributor but also if you've been using a sourer (metal Scrubber) its most likely wearing away your skin where you push and scrub against the dishes. the best way to get rid of it is to wear gloves while washing also cover your hands in moisturise-riser and put on gloves and wear that to bed (let the magic work over night)

Nope, this is a regular thing for dishwashers, chefs, doctors, and anyone who washes their hands a lot. You just have to tough it out and lotion your hands frequently to keep the skin from drying/cracking.
