Why does it stain when you sweat?

How do you remove underarm sweat stains from clothes that have already been washed with the stain?

  • i've got a few light colored shirts that i really like from when i was younger and hadn't found a good antiperspirant yet. they have stains in the pits and i want to remove it. i haven't tried anything special on them yet. does it make a difference if the garment has already been washed and dried with the stain already in place? if it does, is the stain already baked in or can i still get it out after its been through the washer and dryer a few times with the stain?

  • Answer:

Spray on some Shout, rub the material together, and throw it in the machine as normal... This stuff takes out EVERYTHING! Shout has conquered many a "baked" in stain in my clothes and they don't even pay me to say that! Good Luck!

I would treat it with a mixture of baking soda and bleach. Apply it with a Q-tip and let set for 10 minutes. Then wash it. Keep doing this process until the stains are gone. Unfortunately, once it has been dried in an automatic dryer, it has pretty much been set in the fabric. Good luck.

Use white vinegar to get the stains out. This should be done before you wash again.

YOU MAYBE ABLE TO GET THE STAINS OUT..I'M NOT SURE BUT TRY A PASTE MIX OF WHITE VINEGAR AND BAKING SODA ....APPLY IT TO THE AREA AND LET SIT OVERNIGHT...THE NEXT DAY WASH WITH THE PASTE STILL ON IT...HOPEFULLY YOUR STAIN WILL BE GONE.......NEXT TIME WASH RIGHT AWAY.....
