How to fade clothing super fast?

Will sunlight coming through window covered by mini blinds cause clothing to fade?

  • I recently moved into a new home and plan to use a small bedroom as a large walk-in closet. This bedroom has a medium- to large-sized east-facing window covered by mini blinds. I plan to keep the blinds on the window closed at all times, but some sunlight still comes into the room. Will this cause uncovered clothing stored in the room to fade? I plan to install wall-to-wall bars like those typically found in closets in the bedroom and hang clothing from the bars.

    I wouldn't worry about it. It would take several years for that small amount of light to do any noticeable damage. If you're really concerned, pick up a sheet of window tint, and apply it to the glass, from the inside. It is a very simple DIY project. if it is exposed to sun light for a really long time then yes it eventually will. do not leave wet suits up to dr in the window they will get damaged. its ok to leave a bright top exposed to the light for about a month beofre you will start to notice a bit of fade.

If you keep the mini-blinds closed - no beams will come through to fade your clothes. If its a window that you don't need light from, or like to look out of - then put a bamboo or other screen on the outside!

If enough sunlight gets into the closet over a good length of time, there is a chance of fading. Keep the blinds closed enough so the sunlight will not reach the closet.
